Farshad Asl believes there are no excuses in life, only opportunities! His mission is to develop leaders who inspire leadership in others, leaving a legacy that impacts the lives of people we touch with passion and integrity. Among his greatest influences is John Maxwell. In 2012, he became a certified Coach, Speaker and Trainer, conducting workshops, seminars and training programs developing others with John Maxwell’s leadership methods.

Born and educated in Iran, Farshad earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering and went on to build a thriving agricultural business. He left his business behind when he moved to the United States in 1998, and began a new life in Los Angeles, California. Farshad joined Bankers Life and Casualty Company, holding various sales and management positions before becoming a Branch Manager in 2003. As a Branch Manager, he has developed his branch operation to include five satellite offices and over 200 agents throughout Southern California. Farshad was promoted to Regional Director (concurrent with his Branch Manager title) in 2009, and shortly thereafter became the #1 Regional Director in the Company in 2010.

Farshad is recognized as a leader and contributor to the Company, and was elected as an Executive Council member in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. He has held several group and association memberships and designations in the industry including NAIFA in 2012 and GAMA Diamond Member since 2010. Farshad led his team to win the prestigious “Soaring Eagle” Award for 2012 and in 2013 was asked to become the chairman of the Leadership & Management Committee, playing an integral role in the guidance and development of leadership and management programs for Bankers Life and Casualty Co.

Farshad is a man of faith, integrity, love of family and a passion to live by example and inspires everyone who meets him. He currently lives in Los Angeles, CA, with his wife Mina, and two daughters, Michelle, 14, and Rachelle, 11.
